Smartvatten is a rapidly growing water management service company with nearly 100 employees and operations expanding across Europe. Your main task is to maintain and develop the Smartvatten technology based on requirements and feedback from our customers worldwide according to our growth strategy guidelines and targets. The content of your role may partly form and further develop according to your background and interests as well as raising business needs.

You will work closely not only with your own team of about dozen professionals, but also with other teams at Smartvatten, such as Sales, Customer Excellence and Business development. Responsibilities and duties:

  • Follow the recruitment processes and update as needed
  • Create job ads based on competence and role frames from recruiting managers and publish in LinkedIn and locally relevant channels.
  • Conduct sourcing activities in LinkedIn and relevant job portals
  • Review applications and run first interviews with selected candidates, present suitable ones to recruiting managers.
  • Manage interview practicalities and potential candidate testing
  • Finally, make offers and manage candidate pools to ensure they remain engaged for future opportunities.
  • Represent company at f2f and online recruitment events for networking with potential candidate communities.
  • Generate weekly updates on progress to people manager and your direct manager CFO.
  • Work closely with marketing and other colleagues to develop ways to address TA challenges

Our mission is to enable the most efficient use of water across the water cycle through scalable, digital solutions. By improving water-efficiency, we also help our customers reduce their water-related energy consumption and CO2 emissions in order to reach their sustainability goals. The Smartvatten remote monitoring service helps property owners and water utilities to stop flushing money down the drain and catch water leaks before it's too late. 

As part of Smartvatten's internationalization strategy, we are strengthening our team in order to meet the rising demand in the real estate industry. We are looking for: 

Global Head of Marketing 

Smartvatten’s marketing function was established from scratch in early 2021 and already now marketing is heavily contributing to our sales, bringing in roughly 20% of the annual recurring revenue. Our marketing function is still young, and the new Global Head of Marketing has the opportunity to really leave a mark and own the function. The focus of the team this far has been on content marketing and lead generation, with steadily increasing focus on Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and brand building: 

  • ABM as our growth strategy has a strong focus on cross- and upselling our existing customers 
  • Group-level brand-building as M&A is an important part of our growth strategy (already 2 acquisitions during 2022) 

This role is responsible for our business-to-business marketing strategy. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and is a key member of the company's commercial leadership team. 

 

As our Global Head of Marketing, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of our international marketing strategy and go-to-market efforts. 
  • Be a leader: develop, support and grow our highly skilled marketing team of 3 international colleagues, guide them with a cohesive growth plan, and use a data informed mindset to help them drive results. You will also manage a team of freelancers (designer & content creators). 
  • Partner with the CRO and regional Sales Managers to drive qualified prospective customers to the funnel and engage them with the right messaging. Your team’s main KPI is closed won sales. 
  • Manage and develop our brand guidelines. 
  • Continuously measure and communicate the business impact of B2B marketing approaches and programs. 
  • Manage a marketing budget of +€400.000 (2022). 
  • Contribute to operational work focused on lead generation and Account-Based Marketing as described below. 

 Demand and Lead generation: 

  • Set up LinkedIn Campaigns 
  • Monitor Google Ads 
  • Customer Journey research 
  • Create and send out monthly newsletters

Account-Based Marketing: 

  • Develop ABM strategy and execute it effectively to meet the growth objectives of Smartvatten

  • Create content for different stakeholders at the targeted key accounts
