We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Specialist (Temporary) to join our team for 2023. With the chance of working from home, in the office, or hybrid, depending on your preferences. However, needs to be located in Finland.

As Junior Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's invoices, ensuring that all payments are made on time and accurately recorded. Your primary responsibilities will be managing accounts receivable and accounts payable in all our entities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  •  Customer invoicing in all entities. Ensuring accurate and complete billing of customers.
  • Monitoring customer accounts for discrepancies or overdue payments.
  • Accounting, routing, and tracking of purchase invoices.
  • Monitoring accounts payable and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
  • Managing supplier registers and handling supplier relations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least +B2 or C1 Finnish language skills and professional English proficiency
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field seen as a plus
  • At least accounting-related courses approved and seen as a plus having a previous internship or related working experience
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Seen as a plus to have managed Netsuite, Dynamics, or Salesforce software/s

What will you do as an Account Manager?

In this role, you will be responsible for creating growth for Smartvatten by selling our full real estate service offering to the property owner segment in Benelux. We seek full-cycle Account Managers accountable for closing new sales and growing existing customers. This role reports to the Regional Sales Director.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Both new business sales and growing existing customers.
  • Our new sales are mostly outbound driven, complemented by the support of a strong marketing team.
  • You will own the whole sales cycle from prospecting to booking the meetings to sales negotiations and closing sales (sales cycle length is typically between 1 to 7 months).
  • Our growth strategy with existing customers is built on a "land and expand" model as you actively upsell and cross-sells our real estate offering.
  • With existing customers, you will focus on growing the accounts by cooperating tightly with our Customer Success team, who is responsible for customer retention.
  • We conduct many sales meetings via Teams, but time-to-time traveling to physical meetings with customers is expected.
  • Constant learning about our industry and the solutions we offer as we actively expand our offering through internal product development and M&As (in 2022, we acquired two companies). Learning never stops at Smartvatten.

Smartvatten aims to be the world's leading provider of water-efficiency technology and expertise for the real estate sector and water utilities. We have recently expanded to Germany and are looking for an experienced and highly driven Senior Account Manager for our Real Estate business unit.

Smartvatten already has an established market leader position in Benelux and the Nordics. In 2022 we closed the first big German customers, and given the high demand we are receiving, now it is the time to accelerate our operations in Germany. As you will be one of our first sales hires in Germany, we expect your talent to have a high ceiling. Installation Specialist at Smartvatten, Deployment Department for the German market 

Your mission: 

Smartvatten is seeking an Installation Specialist to join its Deployment team. In this role, you will support B2B customers to get started and get the best experience after purchasing water monitoring equipment and carrying out installations at customer properties. You will travel to various locations to perform the installations. The position involves internal and external contact areas, with many customer contacts via email, phone, and meeting customers. 

The position entails traveling to various locations to perform the installations. The estimation of traveling is around 3-4 times a week. The rest of the week, you will plan future traveling routes, report to your team, follow up with B2B customers, update the database, and collaborate with your team to make successful installations.
 

Smartvatten Offer: 

  • Full-time position and employment contract based on German legislations 
  • Full training for o to perform your working tasks 
  • Support from the team along performing installations 
  • Proper working equipment will be provided to you, such as installation equipment and a company car for doing the installations
