Smartvatten, specialist in water efficiency, shares their aim of contributing to a sustainable future and minimizing negative impact. Founded in 2013, Smartvatten facilitates the remote monitoring of water consumption in real estate across Europe with a scalable device and smart software. The company shares its full-service water efficiency expertise worldwide, aiming to raise awareness and contribute to the sustainable use of water around the globe.
Working Toward a Safer, Cleaner World
When L’Etoile Properties, the landlord for their De Ruijterkade offices in Amsterdam, partnered up with Smartvatten at the end of 2021, TomTom soon chose to partake with its other two offices in the Netherlands. Since February, the water consumption at each of its three locations is monitored, measured, and analyzed.
At their High Tech Campus offices in Eindhoven, their focus is innovation and progress, working to create a safer and cleaner world. Maarten Lamber, Senior Facility Coordinator at TomTom, says: “Last year we installed water saving sensor faucets and now we aim to identify more water reduction opportunities. Smartvatten enables us to do so and to report on sustainability objectives continuously. Recently it contributed to BREEAM-NL In Use certification of two of our offices.”
“It’s great to see that a property owner’s actions triggered a tenant to take control of their own water management,” says Raymond Tieman, Sales Manager Benelux at Smartvatten. “We hope it’s the start of a fruitful international collaboration.”
