Our first fair presentation in Germany — Z.WAN 2022

On May 4. 2022, the Z.WAN trade fair took place in Essen for the first time!
Z.WAN stands for Future. Water. Agile. Networking. The event is a fair organized by the Kompetenzzentrum Digitale Wasserwirtschaft (KDW) specifically for the water sector. The KDW is a German non-profit organization that brings together utilities, universities, research institutions, environmental administrations, start-ups, and established companies.
The result is a platform where all the members can inform about their latest digital innovations. The aim is to inform the industry about the latest approaches and to create a space that promotes networking and working together. Therefore, the whole event revolved around digital solutions for the German water management sector.
The first Z.WAN event took place on “Zeche Zollverein”, the most iconic mine in the Ruhr area. The once world’s largest and most modern coal mining plant is nowadays an industrial monument and also serves as the office location of the KDW.
In four of the time-honored industry halls, a diverse program was offered for the participants. Throughout the day there were various keynote speeches, presentations, and pitches, given by the exhibitors. In the afternoon, eight different sessions on topics such as “Automation and AI in water management” gave all participants the opportunity to be active throughout the discussion and exchange ideas. The event was closed with a panel discussion on the topic “Towards Digitalization — Better Together”.
At our fair booth and during a five-minute company pitch we were able to present our digital solution to the German market and chat with the other organizations. The pitch gave us once again the opportunity to connect with the German water industry and start interesting conversations.
We thank all visitors for their interest, for the numerous questions and for the very interesting talks we had at our fair booth. Looking back, the fair was a positive experience as well as a complete success for us. We were able to make new contacts and could take some new input for us. Overall, it was a very successful event.
